The government has finally announced the details of the redemption process for the SingapoRediscovers vouchers.
The initiative was pioneered by the Singapore Tourism Board in collaboration with five authorised booking partners and is the first such initiative of its kind.
These vouchers, worth S$100 each, have been issued to every Singaporeans aged 18 and above in a bid to boost local tourism.
The vouchers can be used for staycations or other authorised tourism attractions until 30 June 2021.
This initiative should provide some financial support to the beleaguered local tourism sector.
There may be more good news next year when the newly-announced vaccines are disseminated to large swaths of the world.
