August brings three dividend payments from very different corners of the small-cap market.
An electronics manufacturer, a UK government-leased property trust, and an industrial automation firm all pay this month.
Each business reported recently.
Each result tells us something about whether the coming payment rests on solid ground.
For income investors, the payment date matters less than what stands behind it.
Here is how the three shape up.
Elite UK REIT (SGX: MXNU): Is the distribution still well supported?
Elite UK REIT pays on 11 August 2026.
The REIT’s portfolio of 147 commercial assets s leased mainly to the UK government on triple-net leases.
Revenue rose 1.2% year on year (YoY) to £9.4 million in the first quarter of 2026 (1Q2026).
Headline net property income fell 12.3% to £9.1 million, but that drop reflected one-off items received in the prior-year quarter.
On a like-for-like basis, adjusted net property income rose 4%.
Distributable income funds a REIT’s payout, and that figure climbed 9.8% YoY to £5.3 million on interest savings and lower vacancy costs.
Occupancy reached 99.9%.
Net gearing fell below 40% for the first time since 2023.
ISDN Holdings: Does a lower headline profit threaten the payout?
ISDN pays on 25 August 2026.
Revenue rose 18.2% YoY to S$440.2 million in FY2025 on broad-based segment gains, while headline profit attributable to owners fell 20.7% to S$6.8 million.
The decline stemmed almost entirely from S$4.5 million of unrealised, non-cash foreign exchange losses on long-dated receivables.
Exclude these, and core profit grew 25.9% to S$9.7 million.
Free cash flow is the lifeblood of dividends, and it rose to S$14.7 million.
The group carries a modest net borrowing position.
It holds S$68.1 million in cash against S$76.7 million in total borrowings.
ISDN raised its final dividend and did not declare a special dividend.
Valuetronics (SGX: BN2): Can a smaller profit still fund a bigger dividend?
Valuetronics pays on 28 August 2026 from a position of strength.
Revenue slipped 4.0% YoY to HK$1.66 billion for its fiscal year ended 31 March 2026 (FY2026).
Net profit fell 33.1% to HK$111.4 million.
A HK$48.4 million net loss tied to its Trio AI investment drove most of that decline.
Strip that loss out, and adjusted net profit reached HK$159.9 million.
Free cash flow swung positive to HK$178.4 million from a negative figure a year ago.
The group holds a net cash position of HK$1.21 billion.
It raised the total FY2026 dividend by 41% to HK$0.38, though special dividends accounted for HK$0.20.
It also lifted its target payout range.
