The week began with Donald Trump returning to the White House for a second non-consecutive term as the President of the United States.

Post inauguration, US tech stocks lead a day of significant rally and dynamic market activity. We highlighted the Magnificent-Seven stocks and their reaction to market sentiments.

With economic policies that are mostly market-friendly and a focus on deregulation, fiscal policies, immigration and tariffs, we also take a look at stocks that can potentially benefit Donald Trump’s second term.

Back home, Singapore’s largest bank saw its share price surpass the S$45 level for the first time, closing at S$45.44 on 8 January.
